The 1st Battalion,
25th Marines Association
Scholarship
The Scholarship Program awards are a living memorial to the Marines and Sailors who have honorably served in 1st Battalion, 25th Marines. The purpose of the Scholarship Program is to recognize the achievement and encourage members, spouses, children (natural or adopted), grandchildren, stepchildren and widow(er)s of members who serve or served in 1st Battalion, 25th Marines to continue their pursuit of higher education.
The Scholarship Committee rates each application sent to them without knowing the names of the applicants. All Committee Members pass their decisions to the Scholarship Director who then works with the Chairman to decide the number of scholarships and amounts to be awarded. This varies from year to year by the amounts donated by members.
